# STYD (Speak to Your Database)

> STYD reads a business's PostgreSQL or MySQL database or its Odoo and answers questions in plain words with exact numbers, read-only, showing the query behind each answer. STYD Cloud (the hosted app) is free to try. STYD Private is the same AI installed on a server the client's company owns, set up and maintained every month by the founder, in two levels: Dedicated (the client's server plus their own OpenAI or Anthropic account) and Fully private (a local AI model, nothing leaves their network).

Odoo MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT: STYD is a hosted, read-only MCP server that answers business questions about an Odoo (15 and later), a PostgreSQL or a MySQL database, in Claude (connector directory) and in ChatGPT (plugin: https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6ac9e3034d488191bd0b9a624cb1f0ae).

STYD is for managers and owners, not only developers. Two ways to run it:

- STYD Cloud: the hosted app, on STYD's server in Singapore with STYD's OpenAI account. Free to start (sample companies or your own data), then monthly plans. Also usable from Claude through STYD's MCP connector, from ChatGPT through the STYD plugin (https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6ac9e3034d488191bd0b9a624cb1f0ae), and from other MCP apps: any AI app that supports remote MCP sign-in signs in with a STYD account. Known apps (Claude, Le Chat, VS Code, Claude Code, Cursor, Glama) connect directly; other apps work after the user confirms the app's web address on the STYD consent page. Cursor's sign-in works; it can also use a workspace API key.
- STYD Private: the same AI on the client's own server (or a dedicated one rented in the company's name). Dedicated: the client's server and their own OpenAI or Anthropic account, adapted to the business, delivered as a fixed-price project over a few weeks. Fully private: a local AI model on the client's hardware, nothing leaves their network, starting with a feasibility test. Basic security, connection to the client's data and monthly updates included. Fixed price after a free 30-minute call, then a monthly care plan.

It also has two free starting points on the cloud:

- Odoo checkup: a free, read-only check of an Odoo that shows the money still to collect (overdue invoices, deliveries not invoiced), the sales to win back (quotes going cold, customers who stopped buying) and the money stuck in stock (stock not moving), with the records behind every number.
- Your database, explained: a free, read-only report of a PostgreSQL or MySQL database in plain words: what it holds, how it fits together, exact counts and dates, what stands out and the questions it can answer. No SQL needed.

After the checkup, users ask follow-up questions in plain words, in the language they write. Every answer shows how it was calculated: on PostgreSQL and MySQL, the SQL query, the tables, the filters and the date range; on Odoo, the Odoo records, the filters and the period used. STYD only reads: it never changes the user's data.

STYD works with Odoo 15 and later — through an Odoo API key (Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise) or the free STYD Bridge module (Odoo.sh or on-premise) — and with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. If Odoo blocks external access on your plan, we'll tell you clearly.
