Terms of Service

1. Who we are

These terms apply to STYD (Speak To Your Database), the service at speaktoyourdatabase.com. STYD is operated by Imperium Villas Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong.

2. Business use only

STYD is offered to businesses and professionals, not to consumers. By creating an account, you confirm that you use STYD for a business.

3. What STYD does

STYD answers questions about your own Odoo data and SQL databases. STYD only reads your data: it never changes it.

4. Accounts and workspaces

You are responsible for your account and for the people you invite to your workspaces. Owners and admins manage a workspace’s connections. Only the owner manages its billing and its plan.

5. Your data and the access you give

You must have the right to connect each database and each Odoo instance you connect to STYD. You are responsible for the access you give STYD; we recommend read-only access.

How we process data, including what the AI provider receives with your questions and their results, is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI answers

Answers are generated with AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Check them before you rely on them for important decisions.

7. Prompts, plans and top-ups

• Each answered question uses one prompt. Errors and setup steps use none.
• Plans renew every month or every year. The prompts included in a plan are renewed every month, and unused plan prompts do not carry over.
• Prompts from top-ups never expire.
• Prices are those shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
• Payments are handled by Stripe.

8. Free trial

Each account and each database can have one free trial: free prompts, with the limits shown in the app and no time limit. Unused free-trial prompts end when a paid plan becomes active. We may change or stop the free trial at any time. Creating several accounts to get more free trials is not allowed.

9. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a plan at any time. It stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for; there are no partial refunds.

A top-up cannot be refunded once any of its prompts have been used. A purchase that has not been used at all can be refunded on request within 14 days: write to contact@speaktoyourdatabase.com.

10. Acceptable use

• Do not connect systems you are not authorised to access.
• Do not try to break or overload the service, or to get around its limits.
• Do not resell access to STYD.
• Do not use STYD for anything unlawful.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or does not pay.

11. AI apps

When you use STYD through Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app, that app is a separate service with its own terms.

12. Service as is, and liability

STYD is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We announce important changes in the app or by email, and the date at the top of this page changes.

14. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction.
