Portal access & company members
Access to the Client Portal is based on your email address. When you sign in, STYD checks whether your email belongs to an active member of a company that currently has portal access.
Always sign in with the exact email address STYD invited. Both Google sign-in and the email sign-in link work, as long as the email matches.
How access is decided
Your portal access is resolved when you sign in:
Your email is matched to a member
Access is granted when your signed-in email matches an active portal member of a company.

The company must have access
The company account itself must be in an access-eligible state, such as an active prospect or a current client.

Otherwise, access is not shown
If neither matches, the portal is simply not available for that account.

Some older company accounts may still be matched by the company contact email until member records are fully in place. Either way, access is tied to your company.
Company account vs members
A company account represents your organisation. A member is one person, identified by their email, who is allowed into that company account.
One company, many members
A company account can have several members.

Shared view
All active members see the same projects, documents and messages.

Same rights

Owned by the company
Documents belong to the company, not to one individual.

When access changes
- A member who is disabled loses access, while the rest of the company keeps theirs.
- If the company account is later closed, archived or disabled, portal access is removed for everyone on it.
- Members are disabled rather than deleted, so past activity stays attributed correctly.
If you cannot sign in, first check that you are using the exact email address STYD invited. If it still does not work, contact STYD and we can confirm your access.
A note on security
Access is always decided on the server from your membership and your company, never from anything shown in your browser. You only ever see the documents and messages that belong to your own company.
