The percentage and the setup
Brief your assistant shows how well STYD understands a specific data source, and gives you a guided way to tell it more. It has two parts: the percentage and the setup.
The percentage
The percentage reflects how much useful, reviewed context STYD has for one data source, not the whole workspace. If your workspace has more than one connection, each connection has its own score, because each can be a different business with different rules.
A higher percentage means STYD has more of the context it needs to answer accurately for that data source. A low score does not mean STYD is broken. It means there is easy context you can still add. On the chat screen, a short line invites you to start the setup (about 3 minutes); you can dismiss it, and it comes back after two weeks while the connection is under 100%.
What counts toward the percentage
The score only rewards things that actually help STYD answer for this data source:
The connection is active, has been checked, and its AI Guide analysis has run.
For Odoo Bridge and Odoo API-key data sources: at least one business definition confirmed in Brief your assistant (how STYD counts revenue, overdue invoices, inactive customers and low stock). STYD uses your confirmed definitions in its answers.
Table and column descriptions you confirmed in the AI Guide for this data source, so STYD knows what your tables and fields represent.
Your business terms for this data source in Brief your assistant: a word your team uses and what it means (for example what a “real sale” is here).
What does not count
To keep the score honest, some things are deliberately excluded. They are valuable, but they do not change live answers for this data source today:
- Thumbs-up / thumbs-down feedback
- Evaluation cases and regression runs
- Reference questions (saved examples used for future evaluation, not live answers)
- Workspace-wide items that are not tied to a specific data source (such as the workspace vocabulary dictionary and workspace-wide business definitions)
- For Odoo data sources: model and field meanings. Odoo has no meanings editor. You tell STYD your definitions and your words in Brief your assistant, so they are not part of the Odoo checklist.
The setup (Odoo)
For Odoo connections, Brief your assistant offers a short setup (about 3 minutes). STYD first shows a few facts it found in your Odoo data, then asks a handful of questions, each prefilled with a suggestion and showing its live effect on your figures. STYD uses your confirmed definitions in its answers, and an answer that uses one says so under it (“your definition, set on …”).
The setup asks:
What happens when you save
Before saving, a review lists only what changes compared with today, with its effect on your figures. Nothing is applied until you save.
Workspace owners and admins run the setup. Members can read the resulting definitions in Brief your assistant.
Your definitions are stored for the selected connection only.
Improving the percentage over time
Come back to see what remains. For a SQL database, you can keep confirming descriptions in the AI Guide and adding business terms in Brief your assistant; for Odoo, review your definitions whenever your business changes so they stay accurate.
