Query usage
Usage is counted in prompts. Every answer uses one prompt from the workspace.
What counts as usage
A question that gets an answer uses one prompt, whatever the answer says, including an answer that the data does not hold, a request to be more specific, or a refusal, on Odoo, PostgreSQL and MySQL alike. A general question, advice or a draft counts like any other answer. A question that fails with an error, or ends in a setup message, uses none, and a failed question is refunded. Usage is tracked at the workspace level, so everyone working in a workspace draws on the same prompts.
Free replies, up to a limit
Beyond each limit, the reply uses one prompt like any answer. It is never refused.
Other things that use prompts
Preparing a PostgreSQL or MySQL database for questions (the AI Guide analysis) can cost prompts. The first one is included while the workspace has a setup left. Otherwise STYD shows the price in prompts first and runs only after an owner or admin confirms. Odoo connections need no analysis. Reading, testing and listing your connections, and the Business Checkup, use no prompts.
Where to review usage
Owners, admins and members can review usage under Settings → Usage, including how many prompts have been used, how many are left, and a recent daily breakdown.
