Embedding STYD in your site

STYD has no chat that you can embed in another website. There is no widget, no iframe and no script tag, and STYD's own pages cannot be shown inside another site. If you want one, it is available as a custom build.

What exists instead

  • The API. Your own server sends a question to STYD and shows the answer in your page, as structured data, plain text or an email-style reply. See API getting started.
  • AI apps. Your team can ask STYD from Claude. See Use STYD from Claude.
  • Automation. The STYD app for Make sends questions from your scenarios. In n8n, use the HTTP Request node until the STYD node is published. See Make.

Sharing a chat with your team

A conversation is private to the person who started it. The creator can share one conversation with specific members of the same workspace from the Share button of the chat. Only people who already belong to the workspace can be invited. There is no public link: the address of a chat opens only for a signed-in person who has access to it. Owners and admins do not see their colleagues' conversations, except those started through an API key, which they can read.

Who can do what in a workspace is on Roles & permissions.

If you build one yourself on the API

Keep the API key on your server. Never put it in a web page or an app that visitors can open.
Decide which questions your page allows, and check the answer before showing sensitive figures. An answer can be wrong.
Plan for the limits: questions through the API are limited in length and in how many can run at once. See the API reference.
Each answered question uses a prompt from the workspace.

A custom build

A chat on your website, an assistant inside an internal tool, or a customer-facing helper is a custom project, built for your case and your data. See the catalogue of custom builds, or custom AI on your own server.
