Create workspace

A workspace is the main container for your STYD setup. It groups your connections, chats, users, settings, usage, and billing context.

Your first workspace

You do not have to create one to start: STYD creates your first workspace when you first sign in, and calls it “My company”. You can rename it at any time. If you were invited to a workspace, you join that one instead of getting a new one.

Where to find workspaces

The workspace name is at the top of the left menu. Selecting it opens the workspace switcher, where you switch workspaces, rename the current one or create a new one.

Each workspace is isolated. Chats, connections, settings, and usage belong to the selected workspace.

Create a workspace

Select the workspace name at the top of the left menu
Choose New workspace
Enter a workspace name
Create the workspace
The new workspace is added to the switcher and selected

There are limits on how many workspaces one account can own: 20 active workspaces, and 3 workspaces that have no plan (archived ones count toward these 3). If you reach the second limit, add a plan to one of your workspaces to create another.

Rename a workspace

Owners and admins can rename a workspace from the switcher (Rename workspace). This is useful if you want a name for a client, company, environment, or project.

Rename a workspace
Switch between existing workspaces
Keep connections separated by workspace
Organize teams or clients cleanly

Workspace deletion

Workspaces cannot be deleted from the interface at this time.

This protects important connections, chats, and usage history from accidental removal.

Best practice

Use one workspace per company, client, or environment when you need strict separation between databases, users, and chats.
