Start first chat
Once a connection is ready, you can start asking questions using Chat. Each chat runs inside a thread linked to a specific connection.
Create your first thread
A thread is the context where your questions and answers are stored.
Open the Chat page
Choose the connection at the top of the chat (a sample company works too); picking a connection starts a new conversation on it
Type your first question, or click a suggested one
Choose “New chat” whenever you want a fresh conversation
Each thread is attached to a single connection. All questions about your data in that thread use that connection. The workspace's uploaded documents can be joined into an answer when the question needs them.
Ask your first question
Once the thread is created, you can start asking questions in natural language.
Show total customers this month
List unpaid invoices
Show revenue by month
Find recently created users
While an answer is being written
Wait for an answer before you send the next question in the same thread. If a lot of questions are waiting at once, STYD asks you to wait a moment and try again; the Rate limits page in Billing & limits gives the numbers.
Refine your questions
STYD works best with clear and specific questions. You can refine your query based on the result you receive.
Add a date range
Specify a table or entity
Ask follow-up questions
