Wrong answers

A wrong answer is useful feedback, not a dead end. STYD answers depend on your data, its understanding of it, your definitions, your access, and how the question is worded.

Where wrong answers come from

Ambiguous terms that can be read more than one way.
A business rule or definition STYD does not know yet.
A relevant table that is hidden from STYD.
Stale data, or the wrong connection or thread.
Incomplete AI Guide descriptions.
STYD aims to ground answers in your data, but it is not a guarantee of correctness. Validate anything important.

What to check

Ask a more specific question, name the metric, timeframe, filters, entity, and definition.
Open “How I found this” to see which data and filters were used.
Confirm the thread is on the connection you expect.
Review and improve the related AI Guide descriptions.
Capture the definition in Brief your assistant so it is used next time.
Use the feedback buttons to flag the answer, and compare critical results with a trusted report.
The Prompting Guide has more on asking clear questions, and Brief your assistant is where recurring definitions are captured. Contact STYD if you see a repeated pattern of wrong answers.
